Self protection logs

Is self protection events comes to McAfee epo?

In my system one alert is triggered

"xyz which was trying to access MFETP.EXE, in a manner contrary to the "Essential protection - Protect McAfee processes from unauthorized access and shutdown"

Manually i can see this event in self protection logs but not in epo.

Can any one know solution for this? how to disable this event?

Re: Self protection logs

Events can't be blocked for specific machines, only for all machines.

This is done by modifying the event filter in ePO.

In the ePO console:
Select Menu | Configuration | Server Settings, select Event Filtering, then click Edit at the bottom of the page.

Full details on this are in the ePO product guide.
I strongly advise you *DO NOT* accidentally set it to send all events to ePO. These settings can easily bury the ePO server and Sql server in data if mis-configured, which is why we set a 'reasonable' default for most entries.

It's possible whichever event ID this is from is blocked in the ePO event filter. But there are other possibilities too, so if the reason is not obvious you may need to discuss this with McAfee Support directly fr deeper analysis.
