ScreenConnect Detected as a Threat Instead of IT Support Tool

Jump to solution
When installing ConnectWiseControl.Client.exe from Connectwise.com to receive remote support from our IT Support Group, McAfee denies access to any ScreenConnect.*.dll/exe created, then deletes them. These files are Detected as named ScreenConnect type Pup. Located in Users\"USER"\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0 I'm using McAfee Endpoint Security 10.6 on a Windows 7 Ultimate computer.

If you are seeing PUP detection, then you can make an exclusion within the ENSTP Option Policy for the detection name.
