I am struggling to install Endpoint Security Threat Prevention. I have deployed Endpoint Protection 10.5.4 from ePO and whilst Endpoint Security Platform has installed successfully, Endpoint Security Threat Prevention fails. I get the error message "Product Conflict: ENDP_AM_1050 will not be installed.".
You would need to look more in detail at the logs within %temp%McAfeeLogs and see where it's failing. If there is a product conflict, what else do you have on the system? Any other AV Vendors you are replacing?

That log you uploaded is the UI Updater log - is that all that is present in that location?
Is this a standalone installation or are you running it via ePO? Sorry - should have mentioned if via ePO the logs will be under C:\Windows\Temp\McAfeeLogs
I'll be happy to take a look if there is anything further logged in either of those locations.

Sorry I should have mentioned I was running via ePO. I have had a look in C:\Windows\Temp\McAfeeLogs and I have the following files:
Which log do I need to look in?
Sort them by date - you'll want to look at the first one which failed.
FrmInst logs are for the agent - which is successful
McAfee-Common are for the platform which you also said was successful, however I don't see any Threat Prevention logs
So I would look at the following:
1. McAfee_Endpoint_CompetitorUninstaller.log >> this will show you if anything has been attempted to be removed and can't
2. MfeSysPrep.log >> will show you any injectors
3. Open the first McAfee_Common_Install log - scroll to the bottom - does this show successfully installed or a return code 0?
4. If so, look at the McAfee_Common_HotFix logs and check the same
However if the McAfee_Common_Install log shows unsuccssful or return value 1603 or similar then you'll see it reference a log in which to look in
Also feel free to share all logs, and I can check them and share the reason :-)

McAfee_Endpoint_CompetitorUninstaller.log you can see:
Detect : PRODUCT_182 = Windows Defender on Server 2016
DetectFile : C:\Program Files\Windows Defender\MpClient.dll
I'm assuming this is therefore a Server 2016 machine. In which case please be aware: ENS does not disable Windows Defender on Windows Server 2016. For steps to manually disable Windows Defender using PowerShell, see known issue 1149046 in KB82450.
I have uninstalled defender but still no joy. I have removed McAfee entirely and reistalled but still it won't install fully.
It's no longer detecting Windows Defender which is good. I see no reason for failure from these logs. The platform was successful but yet ENSTP installation does not start (hence lack of logs).
Check your task - does it definitly contain ENSTP?
We would need all logs from the system to look further into this - there could be an issue downloading the installation file or an issue with the task. I would suggest at this point to raise an SR with support and upload a full system MER.
