New ENS Threat Prevention Update keeps Access protection disabled.

Jump to solution

I have tested on a couple systems now updating to 10.7.0.2787 and have realized that when I open the ENS UI on the local system that access protection is disabled. I have verified all my policies and they are all enforcing it to be on. What changed in this update that this is showing as disabled? Is it a bug?

Hi @JDCast11,

Good day to you!

By default the ENS modules are designed to be enabled from the time of installation until the policies are set to disable them.

Please perform a reboot and check the status.

If that doesn't help, could you please try assigning the McAfee default policy and check?

Regards,

AJ

Even though Access Protection was enabled in my policy, it was not registering on the system. I switched it to McAfee default and Access Protection turned on. In order to fix my policy, I had to disable access protection, save then re-enable it in the policy. Thanks for you response.
