Memory spike due to "McAfee AMcore updating helper (32) bit processes

Good day everyone!

On a windows Server we see multiple processes(around 15) named "McAfee AMcore updating helper (32) bit " Consuming memory.

Wanted to understand what is this one for and why we get multiple entries? Also how to fix this from happening again? BScreenshot_2021-09-17-01-56-30-137_com.google.android.gm.jpg

Hello @Sabarikumar . Thank you for contacting McAfee Community. Was there a task scheduled to update regular Am core Content?. How many machines are we seeing this?.

Yes there is a task scheduled for this which runs once a day. And we see this issue in only a single machine for now. Others might report if they see the samr. Before that have to figure out what this is about.

Thanks

Hi @Sabarikumar,

Thank you for posting on community forum. Could you please confirm the version of McAfee Agent you are using on this machine and what is OS version?

Has this issue occurred just one time or is it continuous? I would advise to reboot the machine once, do a DAT update and see if it exhibits the same behavior.

If yes, I would request you to create a Service Request and share MER logs from machine for further investigation.

Kind Regards,
