We'll soon be receiving media files from citizens to some 911 emergency call centers and the concern of potentially malicious media files either picture or video that come into the 911 centers via MMS has been raised. We're running McAfee 10.7.0 with Threat Prevention on the 911 call taking stations and were wondering to what extent can McAfee detect and prevent potentially malicious code that might be embedded in a media file or if there is some other McAfee product that we may need to incorporate that can assist in the detection and prevention of such malicious files
McAfee EndPoint Security detection's are based on the Heuristic behavior of a file . There are different ways that McAfee detects any malicious files . ENS Threat Prevention has components which not only detects the malicious malicious files but also has a coverage for certain exploits for applications and processes .
We can also recommend you to use McAfee Adaptive Threat Protection.
