McAfee ENS - setting AV Scan Privilege for an ePO account.

Jump to solution
Hi All, I am new to the ENS product - thrown into the fire with it, as they say. I have been asked if I can give AV scan privilege(s) to an ePO account. I walked through the permisson sets for the account but I do not see exactly where I can set/enable this access. Any assistance is appreciated. Regards, Tim

Hello there,

The option to review, will be under the Endpoint Security Threat Prevention row, when viewing the Permission Sets within the ePO Menu.  As an example:

Access the ePO Menu

Select the Permission Sets

Select the account type (Global Reviewer, Group Admin, Group Reviewer, etc.)

On the right, look for the Endpoint Security Threat Prevention row, and click "edit."

Using the row that states "Endpoint Security Threat Prevention : Tasks," select the "View and change settings" option.

Then, save

Note, that, what we are effectively doing here, is providing the account type the permission to view and change settings for any tasks associated with Endpoint Security Threat Prevention.  Since On-Demand Scans are a task for ENS, this should allow any account type with this permission, to view and create an On-Demand Scan task.
