McAfee ENS Web Control

Hi guys,

Me and my team have recently taken over our McAfee ePO solution. We built a new server with the latest ePO version and have transferred all Agents (ca. 1400) and upgraded the McAfee Agents.

SHAREitI have been looking at ENS and how its different from VSE. The MAppvncAfee specialist tha came on site an assited us with migrating config from the old server over built us the Deploy ENS Client Task and it includes Endpoint Security Web Control.

I want to know if guys in a similar situation roll out Web Control onto their Servers? It seems to take up a loot of memory.

Thanks

Re: McAfee ENS Web Control

Hi @Former Member

Thanks for posting your questions in the community forum
Well the ENS complete installation package does have the ENS TP+WC+FW+ATP
Threat Prevention , Web Control + Firewall and Adaptive Threat protection

When the policy are migrated from VSE the OAS , AP rules will be migrated to ENSTP
If you had HIPS installed along with VSE , The IPS content will be migrated to Exploit prevention in ENS TP and Firewall in HIPS will be migrated to ENSFW.

If there is no HIPS then ENSFW will have the Default Firewall rule and ENS Threat prevention Exploit prevention with default signature set.

Well when we talk about the ENSWC most time its not needed to install on the Server OS.
The ENSWC is used to check the reputation of Websites accessed on the local machine , It will block or allow accessing the  websites based on the reputation of Websites.

I have give more information about the ENS modules , You can choose what all modes need to be installed.

With the latest module of ENSWC there are no known issues reported for Memory usage

Let me know back if you have any further questions to us.

If this information was helpful in any way or answered your question, will you please select Accept as Solution in my reply and together we can help other members?

Suggest you to decide just to have Threat prevention
