Re: McAfee ENS 10.6.1 December Update

Jump to solution

@HugsNotDrugs February Update was released with a minor incremental update package only. Meaning, for a single step upgrade you must already be on a 10.6.1 package base.

Since you are on 10.6.0, you would need to first download the 10.6.1 Dec patch packages and apply that to get to a 10.6.1.x, then you can use the Feb Update packages to go from 10.6.1 Dec to 10.6.1 Feb.

Do you use ATP in your environment? If so, as there is no 10.6.1 Dec patch package for ATP, I would recommend that you uninstall ATP (prior to all steps), install with the 10.6.1 Dec full installer package for the module (once you've already upgraded the others to 10.6.1 Dec), then apply the Feb Update minor package to go from 10.6.1 Dec to 10.6.1 Feb at the same time.

In most cases it is going to be November or December update. Lucily there are only few 10.6.0 Systems. Uninstalling Software in order to updagrade it does not look like a efficent action in bigger enviroments.

The situation where the 10.6.1 November Update cannot be updated to December Update is making version changes unnecessarily complicated.

@HugsNotDrugs In that case, most of your upgrades will be very simple as you will just need the available Feb 10.6.1 hotfix/minor incremental package and this can take any 10.6.1.x straight to 10.6.1 Feb (build numbers as seen in PD28195).
