May update for ENS 10.6.1 and Hotfix 199847?

Jump to solution

Hello,
Does anyone know, if the May update for ENS 10.6.1 was re-released to include Hot fix 199847?
I am wondering if anyone has deployed this at this time? A previous security issue was addressed via a DAT release and I am wondering if this Hot Fix was released simply to enhance a reporting option associated with that bug?
It appears that the most recent ENS Bundle and ATP / ENS Bundle reference the same extension and file versions listed in the Read Me file for Hotfix 199847.
Also, since I am now running ATP, I guess it would make sense for me to install the ENS / ATP bundle going forward?
Thank you.

Hi @Glenn_Bolton

There actually wasn't a "May Update" for ENS 10.6.1 and 10.7 this year, the HF199847 release was packaged as a full installer from the get-go rather than as a .msp based patch/hotfix as we used to do in the past. This release addresses the issue in the software itself from install, rather than by using an AMCore deployed patch.

The extensions for this build are the same as from the April update, but the rest of the packages used for client installation on the endpoints were all updated and included in the new bundles.

Thank you,

Thank you,
Mitchell Buehler

Thank you Mitchell, I have installed this into my Evaluation branch in EPP QA. I installed EPO 10.7 into my EPO DEV environment. Much appreciated.

I was hoping to ask if anyone has encountered any performance issues with this update to ENS?
I have also opted to include the ATP update along with the platform and threat protection modules.

Thank you,
