How to solve Epo firewall block Windows ICS( Internet sharing)

Hi,

When to enable the firewall from McAfee Epo 10.7 , can't share the network by window ICS function.

How to solve this issue?

Hi @CableTV ,

Perhaps ICS uses a Port no. that isn't defined in Firewall Rules. If you've the Port details, please create a Firewall Rule to allow the traffic.

Alternatively, you may use ENS's Adaptive Mode to figure out the blocked traffic.

1) Launch McAfee Endpoint Security.

2) Click on drop down next to Update Now & choose Settings.

3) Choose Firewall on the Left & Show Advanced on the top right.

4) Check Enable Adaptive Mode under Tuning Options. 

5) Click Apply to save changes.

6) Relaunch the Application. [The traffic shouldn't be blocked]

7) Follow Steps 1-3. Click on Rules on the Left.

8 Expand Adaptive and you should see new rules that were created.

9) Take note of the rules and configure it in the Firewall Rule Policy.

* Disable Adaptive Mode when done.
