Google Chrome / MS EDGE CVE´s in 2021

Jump to solution

Hello Community,

Is there any advice from McAfee as to whether and how the vulnerabilities in the Google Chrome / MS EDGE version lower than 94.0.4606.71 can be addressed? (ENS / IPS - Extra.DAT or Signature Pack)

Emergency deployment is not a good option in every case.
I would like to thank you in advance for your replies.

Hello Pravas,
Thank you very much for your detailed answer, which helps me a lot.
Of course, it's not exactly what my management wants to hear, but I'll use it as a chance to make it clear once again that there is no silver bullet to patching.
Especially because the competitors on the market are doing the same and the motto "patch, patch, patch" is slowly penetrating the collective consciousness of the management.
Have a nice week and thank you again, stay healthy.

Greetings,

Roland
