Hello,

We are getting on some systems the following Windows event:

Faulting application name: mfeesp.exe, version: 10.6.1.1607, time stamp: 0x5d346c94
Faulting module name: ApRc.dll, version: 10.6.1.1607, time stamp: 0x5d34702c
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x0000000000042aab
Faulting process id: 0x1a08
Faulting application start time: 0x01d583e31e4f49fa
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\McAfee\Endpoint Security\Endpoint Security Platform\mfeesp.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Program Files\McAfee\Endpoint Security\Endpoint Security Platform\ApRc.dll

Hi @Zebu 

Thank you for your post. I certainly agree with @Thussain  on creating a Service Request. However, just as a best practice, Can you kindly verify if the issue occurs even after performing an upgrade to your Endpoint Security Software?

We have a newer version released very recently. I will list down the versions of the components. please ensure that all the components that are installed are with their corresponding versions as listed below:

ENS 10.6.1 October Update Adaptive Threat Protection client   10.6.1.1473 Release Notes KB82450 (Firewall, Threat Prevention, and Web Control)
KB88788 (ATP)
October 8, 2019
Common client 10.6.1.1724
Firewall client  10.6.1.1394

Adaptive Threat Protection extension 10.6.1.1212

This is an issue which is both occuring on ENS10.6.1 July Repost and ENS 10.6.1 October.

Should be fixed in december release, ref:

Thank you for posting your question here 

The ApRc.dll is used by Access protection and Security platform.

From the post it appears the application mfeesp.exe is crashing.

In order to find why mfeesp.exe is crashing, I suggest you to kindly log a service request with McAfee Technical support team with the below mentioned logs

Please follow the below KB article to generate a full memory dump after reproducing the issue
