Exclude a service in ENS

Hello,

Can you exclude a service just by name in Endpoint Security in OAS (without the actual exe/process name)?

Service name is  "Cryptographic Service".

Thanks.

Re: Exclude a service in ENS

Hi @Sohel,

Thank you for your post. glad to see you back here! I am afraid exclusion of a Service using the name of the Service is not possible via McAfee ENS for OAS.

I sincerely hope this answers your query!

edit: added "OAS" specifically since Service based exclusion is not possible with that specific feature.

Re: Exclude a service in ENS

Hi Adithyan,

Looks like EP (Exploit Prevention) does support exclusion on services by display name but not OAS.

Re: Exclude a service in ENS

Thanks for posting the correct answer. The one from Mcafee was wrong or ment wrong (Maybe the term ENS was wrong used)

Re: Exclude a service in ENS

Hi @bretzeli@Sohel,

My apologies as the question was specific to OAS and I have used a more generic Term (ENS) instead of specifying/pointing towards OAS. I have corrected the same. I hope the answer is more concise now.

Thank you for pointing out the same.
