I have corporate McAfree in my laptop. After McAfee update few months back it stopeed working properly. I am seeing "Error communicating with the Event Log". This error seems to have rendered Endpoint inoperable, I cannot run the update, cannot scan as there are no buttons exposed to do these tasks. I have found no information about this issue using google, and am stuck on how to fix this issue. There are no options to repair this error that I can see.
Please check if either of these two KB articles help. A third party product might be injecting into the McAfee ENS drivers (ref KB87012 below); you can use the McAfee Sysprep tool to see if a third party DLL is injected. If further assistance is needed, please open a Service Request with McAfee Support.
