We use user-based policy for ENS Web Control, our current LDAP is without SSL enabled, if I enable SSL will there be any impact on "user-based" policy?
Thanks in advance.
Hi @Sohel ,
Thanks for posting here! User based policies do depend on your LDAP settings. However, changing the LDAP communication from non secure to secure should not have any impact on the assignments as long as the ePO is able to communicate with the LDAP Server.
Hope this helps in addressing your query!
Thanks for your response but do you know if there is any KB from McAfee about it.
The reason I ask since we have been using this setting in our environment for a long period of time and I just wanted to make sure by changing it now will not break anything or cause any issues.
Thank you for your response. I am afraid we do not have any KB written specifically to mention this. However, If a written confirmation from tech support would suffice this requirement for you, I would suggest contacting Technical Support for now and obtaining the same. Hope that helps here!
Yup! You are absolutely correct! Wish you the very best 🙂 Cheers!
