ENSTPL 10.6 CPU Throttling for on-demand scan - how to configure?

Jump to solution

I'm currently testing the latest release for threat prevention on Linux, and I can't seem to find the configuration options for the new feature CPU Throttling for on-demand scan in any of the policies.  Where do I need to look to find this option?

Verify you have the latest ENS Threat Prevention and ENS Linux extensions checked in, and when creating a Custom On-Demand Scan task, you should see it under Performance.

Name: Endpoint Security Threat Prevention
Version: 10.6.1.1107

Name: Endpoint Security for Linux License
Version: 10.6.0.106

If you still don't see it there, I would suggest opening a Service Request with McAfee Support to investigate further.

This setting is located in an ENS On-Demand Scan task, under Limit maximum CPU usage (Available only when Scan anytime is selected).

Thank you for the quick response; I've following along the instructions posted in the link but I'm still not seeing this option. I confirmed the option Scan Anytime is selected.

I don't show the same versions for those extensions; I'll get those updated to the versions you listed and see if that resolves it and report back, thank you.

After updating those extensions I now see the configuration option, thank you!
