ENS disable/hide Wifi 5GHz

Jump to solution

Hi,

When i install McAfee Agent + ENS (without FW) + DLP (lastest versions) on Windows 10 build 19043 on my environment, our WiFi Networks 5GHz disappear or hide, only shows us the 2.4GHz networks. If i uninstall all McAfee, the networks 5GHz and 2.4GHz appears. Someone has same issue ? Someone to help me ? I opened an SR and sent them the Mer results, but support said me that is not a issue with McAfee but clearly is a issue with McAfee.

I test turn off feature by feature (https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB88482) but not worked.

Regards.

Hi @choscar09,

We may require to isolate if the problem is related to any particular product/feature.

I see that you've already tried disabling features but has not helped.

Here's what you may try. [Reboot the system after each tests & check for WiFi availability]

1) Install just McAfee Agent

2) Then go for ENS

3) Finally Install DLP

If the problem is narrowed down to ENS. Please drill down even more.

I assume the following modules are installed as Firewall is not used.

* Threat Prevention

* Adaptive Threat Protection

* WebControl

Test again by uninstalling each module.

If the issue can be recreated with any ENS modules, please share the details on the support ticket.

If its narrowed down to either McAfee Agent or DLP. Please reach out to the respective support team.

Thanks
