Hi All
I hope you can help me find a solution to a query I have.
We have a windows server 2012R2 golden Image that needs to be deployed to hundreds of citrix servers every week. So basically every server is reimaged every week.
What I am trying to find out is how I can script the deletion of the ENS GUID
On this link it is this part I need to script:
Delete the AMCore GUID for Telemetry to work correctly:
a. Disable ENS Self Protection. From the local console, navigate to Settings, Common and disable Self-protection.
b. Delete the following registry value:
TSDeviceID in the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\McAfee\AVSolution\Install_Reference
c. Re-enable ENS Self Protection
Any help scripting this would be most appreciated.
Thanks
Morello
Attempting to script this would be very complex and isn't something that I could assist with from a Support perspective as it doesn't fall within our purview. However, if you remove this from the image that these clients are being created from, then you have eliminated the need at the source, and once the systems are stood up, they will be able to populate it with their unique GUID automatically once connected. Is there a reason this is less viable or hasn't been done?

Hi @morello
I agree with @jess_arman.
Best practice approach is to install ENS on your Vanilla Image. Do not forget to take care of McAfee Agent which also need to be installed correctly so you can clone OS - See KB84356
