ENS Migration Assistant and global self protection settings

Hi,

Running some recent tests, and I can confirm that user-defined exclusions for the following are successfully migrated to Common Options self protection exclusions:

- Common Standard Protection: Prevent modification of McAfee files and settings

- Common Standard Protection: Prevent termination of McAfee processes

- Common Standard Protection: Prevent hooking of McAfee processes

I have, however, noted that user-defined global exclusions for self protection in VSE, do not actually migrate to the global exclusions for self protection in ENS...?  I cant seem to find specific mention of this in the migration document PD27567?

Any thoughts?  Is this meant to be?.....

Re: ENS Migration Assistant and global self protection settings

Hello There!

This is not meant to be. Kindly raise an SR with McAfee to troubleshoot the issue.

Re: ENS Migration Assistant and global self protection settings

Hi,

Indeed it isnt!  A case was raised and a defect was confirmed - a fix is due out in the October release of the migration tool.

Worth noting that a second defect (user-defined AP exclusions not migrating) was also discovered during our tests and is also being rectified.

Cheers,
