We've been told by McAfee Support that the expected memory usage for MCSHIELD.EXE in ENS 10.5.4 (HF1) and ENS 10.6 should be no more than 75MB. We're seeing around 200-250MB utilization on all of our machines running ENS.
VSE would typically take up around 100MB in our environment. We run a lot of virtual servers in our environment with
annoyingly very low allocated RAM, so obviously with this expected increase of 150MB - we need to rule out a "fault" as being the cause.
I've assigned blank policies to some of the machines which are testing ENS, but the memory usage remains around the 200MB figure. We're running Agent 188.8.131.527 in our environment.
Could anybody else confirm the memory usage they're seeing in their environments?
Is the estimate of 75MB optimistic or realistic?
I do see similar memory usage 250MB Memory used by the mcshield.exe. Only threat prevention module is enabled. Firewall/Web Component are disabled on the endpoint.
