Delay when starting processes in Windows Server 2008

I have a question, can any of McAfee endpoint security products cause a delay when starting up processes in Windows Server 2008 R2.

Should I exclude some directories from Access Scan or in some other places, is there any suggestions for work with McAfee and Terminal Servers?

For example, sometimes there is a delay when starting up word, explorer, or any other program not related to Microsoft. Usually the delay is after the log in process, sometimes it lasts few seconds, sometimes more, even a couple minutes.

Re: Delay when starting processes in Windows Server 2008

Thank you for your post.

You add the process of the application with which you are facing the performance issue. But by add common processes like word process, excel process, PowerPoint process, command process, PowerShell processes. Your system may be become vulnerable to malicious attacks so don't add these processes. But if you have issues with specific applications you can add the exclusion as per the vendor suggestion.

I hope this helps.
