Defender detecting mimikatz on McAfee hiphandlers.dll


Windows defender detecting mimikatz on McAfee? Anyone noticing same?

I have latest windows 10 1903 and latest McAfee ENS installed.

Check you AV definitions and manually update them to the most current. I believe that's how we resolved this.

We have a fresh Win10 1909 image on a PC and the only thing we have done to it is upgraded McAfee to 10.7 and we got the same message as you. I've read a few articles about Win Defender (in general and about disabling it) and they all say it is supposed to get out of the way if another AV product is installed.  Our setting say Defender is disabled but if it was how could it come up with hacktools/mimikatz?
