Re: DAT Update not possible

Hi @ePO-early-bird,

Thank you for your post. Can you confirm if you are seeing any dll injection from mfemactl.log present in %programdata%\McAfee\Agent\Logs\ ?

Also, Can you please upgrade McAfee Agent to 5.6 or higher and see if that helps in resolving the issue?

I am quite convinced this is an Agent/Windows related issue. The Best way to confirm this would be to run the update locally on the endpoint and confirm if that works. That should give us where to look at next!

To Download V3 Updates for ENS:

Please let me know if this is helpful.

Re: DAT Update not possible

Hi ePO-early-bird,

I do not see much information in the log to tell you what could be the wrong. As @AdithyanT  said, upgrade the agent to latest and check if it works.

Reason :

All Agent 5.0.X version is going to be EOL by December 17, 2019.

If you are using ENS 10.6.1, the recommended agent version is Agent 5.6

That was also my recommendation. Troubleshooting is obsolete. My thought was that there is a short-term workaround.

Thanks!

Re: DAT Update not possible

Hi @ePO-early-bird ,

Thank you for your understanding here! As a work around you can try downloading and running the updates locally until we get the Agent updated. Hopefully that helps atleast for few days until the MA is upgraded - a temp manual work around.

I sincerely hope that works.
