Confused about ePO updates - 10.6.1.190514

Any suggestions on mine - the software manager shows updates available, but when I select ENS, it does not show any available versions highlighted:

It all depends on what is in your Master Repository. It is likely you have an older version of ENS checked in to any of the three branches and hence it's still showing updates available.

I'm pretty sure I've got some bigger issues, or I'm missing something.  So today I checked ePO and it actually showed I had updates, so I updated and moved the old stuff to previous - great.  However, when I try to update my machine, it still only shows 10.6.1.1449 for Security Platform and 10.6.1.1550 for Threat Prevention.  So why am I not updating if I have it in the Repo?

Because you still have it in the previous branch. You can see where it flags as red, it shows it's in the previous branch.

I must be missing something about previous vs current.  It looks to me like what I have in my Current branch is platform 10.6.1.1607 (my Previous branch only has 10.6.1.1124, which is fine).

Also in current branch I have threat prevention 10.6.1.1666 - with the previous version of 10.6.1.1208.  So as near as I can tell, my current versions all appear to be up-to-date.

Your current branch is up to date. But your previous one is not up to date so it's flagging that this branch could be updated. The repository doesn't care if it is actually a previous version in the previous branch, it just checks for older versions and if present flags them as they could be updated to a later version.

Oh - yes - I understand that.  What I don't understand is why my ENS actually installed on my machine is 10.6.1.1449 for Security Platform and 10.6.1.1550 for Threat Prevention - I have newer versions in my repo but it is not updating.

Oh! My bad. Sorry.

The update is an Install package. You need to use a product deployment task to install it. The Update task won't pull an "install" package.

Alright - understood - so my full install is updated - but is there an update package to upgrade to the latest without doing a full install?

No, this release is purely an install package. You don't need to remove anything though, you can run the deployment task on top of your currently installed versions and it will update the clients.

From the release notes:

"The release includes a full installer package and can be used to install McAfee® Endpoint Security 10.6.1 (or 10.5.5 as applicable) for the first time or upgrade from any previous Endpoint Security version."
