Re: Configure Exclusion for Linux System via ePO web console

Hello @MohdAfiq

Am from ENS Linux/MAC team. Thank you for contacting us through community.

Kindly refer the below article "Manage file and directory exclusions using wildcards"

https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB88807&locale=en_US

I would suggest you to add the same path in Standard & High risk exclusion. With the screenshot shared it is difficult to provide precise answer. However if you could submit a case to support.

We shall look in to the OAS log and first understand which process is accessing, why it is being denied by OAS. Based on that we shall provide more clarity.

Between, did you find any event for this on ePO end? We could also take a look at the event and see why the permission was denied.

Thanks,
Aravind K

Re: Configure Exclusion for Linux System via ePO web console

Im not sure whether it related or not but under "threat event" inside ePO, there was an event for Threat Prevention

Analyzer Rule ID: 50010
Analyzer Rule Name: Linux Java Envelope - Creation of suspicious files in Temp folder

inside exploit prevention policy, i have select to block the signature.

Re: Configure Exclusion for Linux System via ePO web console

Hello @MohdAfiq

With the amount of info that you have shared in regards to Exploit Prevention it is difficult to answer.

ENS Linux TP (version 10.6.6 and later) logs can be found in the below path

# /var/McAfee/ens/log/tp/

Thank you,

Aravind K

Hello @MohdAfiq

We analyze multiple logs of ENSL like mftepd, OAS etc.,

To take this forward I would request you to submit a SR with MER log. We shall look in to and let you know the next action plan.
