Sadly, no workaround. The only way 1903 is currently supported is if the OS is upgraded and the May update is already present on the machine.
@mariobockenauer - the response you received is correct. Our last full installer is the December Update which cannot be installed on Win 10 1903. The full installer is targeted for June. At present we do not have a confirmed date to share.
@Former Member I highly recommend someone update the product support KB then with these limitations. We began fresh roll-outs of 1903 based off that article stating 1903 was supported with no caveats listed. We wasted several hours trying to debug why ENS would not deploy until we came across this forum post.
I can definitely understand the confusion here. Generally speaking however, if the installer of a product version is incompatible with the OS (10.6.1 with 1903) but an update is compatible with the OS (May Update with 1903), there is no other way to install it other than to have it there before the OS upgrade is done. In other words, you could never install an unsupported product version on an unsupported OS so that you may update to the supported product version. You must always be in a supported state before doing any updates/upgrades.
7 ENS 10.5.5 or 10.6.1 May Update must be present on the system before upgrading to Windows 10 May 2019 Update (version 1903). There is currently no ENS installer that will allow a fresh installation of ENS on a system with Windows 10 May 2019 Update.
The next ENS update will be a full installer. The next ENS update will install on Windows 10 2019 May update. Subscribe to the ENS supported environments article to be alerted when then next ENS update releases.

What's the holdup on this? 1903 has been available via MSDN for nearly 2 months now. Given the fact Technical Previews are available to companies like McAfee well before official release dates, it's unacceptable that we've had to wait this long for a solution. As Enterprise customers, we deserve better.
i totally agree with you. McAfee had 2 month to solve this issue and now they implement quality of life improvement… what ???

For those following this thread, it appears McAfee just updated the article KB91587 in their knowledge base. It's now stating they have a targeted release date of 6/27/2019. Let's hope that date stays true.
