Amcore Content shows v0.5 and Amcore Engine shows N/A

Hi All,

I have a typical situation. I have about 14K Servers managed on an ePO where all the machines receive the AMCore Content version and engine versions regularly without any issues. However about 7-10 servers which are online and running with the same Agent version 5.0.6 would not display Amcore Content version and engine version instead is shows Amcore content version v0.5 and Amcore engine version as N/A. as per the below screenshot. Kindly advise how to proceed further.abca.jpg

I also have the logs from one of the problematic server for your reference below.

Re: Amcore Content shows v0.5 and Amcore Engine shows N/A

This could be a number of things. I would start by attempting to update the systems with the content package from mcafee.com > security updates. If the AMCore gets updated then we can assume their may be something wrong with the Agent so I would start by looking at the mcscript log for any errors.

If the local update doesn't work or the mcscript log doesn't show anything wrong, I would start looking the mfemactl log for an signs of injectors into the updater process.

Hi,

Ensure you install ENS hotfix 1239932.  This resolved that same issue for us.

@Pixels @chealey

Dear Pixels, the hotfix is not applicable for us as we are running ENS 10.6.1. @Chealey can you suggest any other work around?

Did you check the logs suggested as these will likely point to the failure reason?

Did you check with the local update package?

@chealey The local install is okay. However it is not showing in the ePO console. Tried re-installing Agent to prevail nothing.

Likely something in regards to the agent. I would suggest opening a ticket with the McAfee Agent team if you are unable to spot anything wrong within those logs.
