Allow ENS DAT update through Windows firewall

Hi,

I am using ENS 10.7.0 without the McAfee firewall on a Windows 10 machine. The Windows Defender Firewall blocks all internet traffic deliberately, except for specific applications for which I set up a rule. I need a rule to allow ENS to update virus definitions. Which executables should I allow? Inbound and outbound? Have so far been unable to find the right executable and get updating to work.

Best,

Diederick

Hi @Former Member ,

The process name UPDATERUI.exe should work.

For complete list please refer to the link below.

I've now allowed outbound traffic for

MCTRAY

UPDATERUI

MFECONSOLE

but still unable to update. Please advise.

Re: Allow ENS DAT update through Windows firewall

Wasn't able to get this to work, disappointing. Reverted back to software from a competitor in which you only have to allow the main app in your outbound rules.
