Remove all McAfee components via cmd in silent mode

We would need to remove all McAfee components via CMD in silent mode. We have tried with the following command:

C:\Program Files\McAfee\Agent\x86\frminst.exe /forceuninstall /Silent

But it is still remaining several components installed:

McAfee Endpoint Security Firewall

McAfee Endpoint Security Platform

McAfee Endpoint Security Threat Prevention

We would need to know the complete sequence of commands for removing all the McAfee product via CMD.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Remove all McAfee components via cmd in silent mode

Hello @IOMadridDCSecur

Thanks for your post.

I would like to inform you that the below command is for McAfee Agent ForceUninstall:

MARe.PNG

I am not sure about ENS Products and afaik you can't remove it from Command prompt.

You can try below query with the help of EndPoint Removal Tool:

EPR can be used from command line. --accepteula --ENS

If you will select ALL this will apply to all the McAfee Products.

If you using Drive Encryption please check with that team before applying tyhe ALL switch.

Re: Remove all McAfee components via cmd in silent mode

Hi @IOMadridDCSecur,

Thank you for your post. Kindly please find below the KBA that explains how uninstall strings can be used to remove products via cmd.

The optimal order would be something like this:

1) ENS WC/ENS FW (they can be interchanged) - Firewall/Web Control

2) ENS ATP (if present) - Adaptive Threat Protection

3) ENS TP - Threat Prevention

4) ENS Platform (usually gets removed once the last component -ENS TP gets removed)

5) McAfee Agent

Kindly please use EPR as the last resort. McAfee does not encourage the use of EPR unless your regular uninstallation methods are failing or not possible or recommended by Support.
