EPR does not function on Server 2008 R2

Jump to solution
Hello, Another compatibility issue with EPR tool where it just says not supported OS while 2008 R2 is officially supported until 2020: https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB82761 This is another not documented officially issue and clients are angry that they cannot remove a product they purchased. Where are the supported environments of EPR? Nothing here: https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB90895

@ninov_n REGISTERED - PD27734 is the EPR user guide and contains information about the supported OS and products it can remove. Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 and higher are supported by the tool.

Thanks @jess_arman, I expected to be an article like for the other McAfee products - we had similar issue with ENS Azure environments that they initially mentioned only Windows 8 while it was supported for all OS versions after Windows 7. Most probably the not compatible OS message indicates they do not have SP1 in place. Basically these are the requirements: "The following basic requirements are required on each machine: • Windows 7 SP1 and above • Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 and above • X86 or x64 • Administrator rights"
