unistall EEP 5.2.1

I just bought an older laptop and its come with EEP Version 5.2.10.6

The seller gave me the password so I can login to the machine and windows. I believe the login screen says "password only token"

There is a folder called 'Endpoint Encryption for PC' in Program Files (x86)

I don't care about retrieving any data - I want it all wiped out or formatted.

I would like to re-install windows without any EEP installed on it.

Please guide me in the right direction.

I have no idea if its running EPO or EEM managed. Also i don't have access to the Daily code or Key.

thanks much.

Re: unistall EEP 5.2.1

As EEPC is only sold to enterprises, it's extremely rare to find a copy in use on a personally owned laptop.

The best thing to do would be to contact the company who owned the device before and request their help.

Re: unistall EEP 5.2.1

thanks : Sorry for the late reply.

The seller i bought it from said it was an old laptop he acquired from his company. I don't need any of the data. I just need a clean start. Full wipe of HD, Reformat and reinstall windows.

Is that not possible ?

thanks for the reply's

Not really, The laptop should have been erased before it was sold. I'd not be willing to do anything without authorisation from the company who owned it.
