I am having some trouble figuring out how the EEPC version is being reported in EPO or where the version information can be found.
I would like to build a query or report that shows the version of EEPC that is installed. When I select Version from the Endpoint Encryption - System field, it reports the EE Agent version installed instead of the EEPC version installed. There is another field available for EE Agent version. In my case they both contain the value 1.0.7.xxxxx I would expect the Agent version to be listed as 1.0.7.xxxx and the EEPC verison to be listed as 6.0.x.x. Is this a bug?
I suppouse that EEPC will never be reported as this is designed in this way, because ePO Agent don't have plugin for EEPC, only for EE Agent.
This is the way it is designed: ePO agnet communicate with EE Agent and EE Agent comminucate with EEPC.
ePO agent doesn't talk with EEPC and do not report its version.
How could this be true? That would mean there is no way to tell what machine successfully applied EEPC patches. How would I tell what machines have 6.0.0 and which have 6.0.1. There would need to be some way that EPO would know. It knows what version of HIPS and AV are installed after all, how could it not know what version of EEPC is installed?
Recording what version of software is installed is pretty basic information. It is bordering on unbelieveable if you are correct.
I'm not sure what you mean. There is not anything in that article that helps me to figure out how to report on the version of EEPC installed on my clients. I need to figure out how to report on what versions of EEPC are installed on my computers.
Why wouldn't the EE agent be able to report the version of EEPC installed? The algorithm is reported correctly and that I assume is a function of EEPC and not the EE agent, right?
You should read between lines, but never mind.
EEPC version is a property which is not reported to ePO agent by EE agent. I agree that should be, but currently is not. I suppose, that one thing you can do is to rise PER (FMR).
