Username getting auto removed

In ePO 5.1, I have mapped a username to host. But the next day when I check in 'Menu->Encryption Users->Host name->View assigned users', it is again empty as if no users were mapped to that host before. This is a recurring issue so anybody have any suggestions?

Re: Username getting auto removed

The most logical explanation is the system is being deleted and readded. Check the ePO Audit log to see if the system is being deleted. If you don't see an entry than the system may be being mis-sorted by ePO. Read KB52949 and see if it applies.

Re: Username getting auto removed

I read KB52949. Though a few MAC address were the same for multiple hosts, the host I was searching for wasn't listed there.

However, when I checked in audit log, a different user (superuser) had indeed deleted that system multiple times in the last few months, which indeed as you rightly said caused the username to be deleted even after remapping multiple times.

How do i resolve it?  Thanks for your help!@

Re: Username getting auto removed

Do you have any automated tasks to delete duplicate records?, could be that the devices are creating duplicates maybe and from experience the users are only ever assigned to the first records created

Re: Username getting auto removed

No automated task to delete duplicate hosts in system tree. Yes .. when host logs in through Wifi and Lan two entries getting created for same host, one for each Wifi & LAN. But hostname only mapped to one of them in Encryption Users. Kindly suggest. @Steve chmiewliski
