I install Mcafee Endpoint Encryption in my laptop with windows 7 pro OS. All was working fine until my computer hang and need to re-install windows. I did re-install my computer and I forgot that I used Mcafee to encrypt my hard drive (Local D, E). But, It's too late, I have installed new windows without disabling Mcafee first. So, now after installed new windows, I cannot access my data that encrypted by previous in my hard drive (Local D, E).
Anyone know how to access the encrypted data?
Need your help.
Looks, you need to do manual decryption.
What version of EEPC you had on the machine?
You need to boot the machine with WinTech/ EETech disk and do 'force crypt' for those partition.
Someone please move this thread to Encryption group.
I don't have details of EEPC version, he is using. This will go to one of these two groups: 1- Encryption: ePO Managed, 2- Encryption: EEM Managed
The Mcafee Endpoint Encryption is 4.8.
"You need to boot the machine with WinTech/ EETech disk and do 'force crypt' for those partition." -> I have followed this step but I dont have authorization code to open WinTech. How to get the code?
Sorry for late response.
I am not sure if there is any version 4.8 for EEPC. I think, it's MA version. That means that you are using ePO managed: encrytion build. May I know EEPC/MDE build you have?
Regarding COD, there is tool EETech Code Generator tool available on McAfee download website under your grant (KB61073).
