Hello!
My scenario:
Have been encrypting with EEPC 6.2 for about 8 months now without a hitch. Tried pushing out the 7.0.1 encryption and it works great on computers that have already been running 6.2. The problem is when trying to start encryption from scratch with 7.0.1 it never activates. It sits at "Searching available encryption providers" and stays inactive. After several hours it changes to "Starting Policy Enforcement" but still stays at inactive and never encrypts.
I've gone through the logs and can't seem to find anything that leads me anywhere. There are errors but searching the forum and internet provide no help.
Known:
OS: Windows 7 32 bit
HD: 2 Partitions - 1 hidden at 100 MB and 1 has OS/data on it
ePO: 4.6
EEPC: 7.0.1.354
-Works when upgrading from 6.2
-Fails when installing from scratch
-When pressing "Collect and Send Props" or "Send Events" it takes a lot longer to show results in Agent Monitor than version 6.2
Attached is the log.
Please Help!

HTH,

Am I the only one running into this problem with EEPC 7.0?
No I have the same issue, although it seemed to have only been on our new lenovo PC's. I'm going to have to have a look at this and see if thats correct.
interesting... I am using Lenovo T430u's as my test machines. I'm going to try this out with some other test machines I have, Dell E6420's.
Looks like the Dell E6420 does the same thing as the Lenovo's.
I've got some old HP SFF kicking around im trying one of them tonight, as soon as I can kick the engineers off it.
Have you tried support yet?
I guess I'll have to submit a MER and a case either way as we have standardised on these lenovo m92s now.

Yeah I've just started this up with no issues on 2 old HP/Compaq models so im guessing its a modern BIOS issue with the lenovo model.
At least its not directly EPO related.
I'll log a case with Platinum in the morning
So far I haven't had a single one activate. I have tried different variations below.
multiple Lenovo T430u's with Bios versions 2.06 and 2.08.
Dell E6420 (from 2012) with Bios version A13.
Dell E6400 (from 2009) with Bios version A12.
Interesting note... If I install the Agent with version 7.0.1 but install EEPC with version 6.2 then it will actiavte and encrypt fine.
