We're trying to figure out how to automate bypassing the preboot screen when deploying Windows Updates that take time to install and require multiple reboots.
Specifically, moving from Windows 10 1703 (Creators Update) to Windows 10 1709 (Fall Creators Update).
I'm familiar with the autoboot utility, but wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to script autoboot so that it only runs when the Windows Update has installed and is ready for a reboot.
Naturally, the goal is to not weaken security by disabling preboot for longer than necessary to complete the actual update process.
Given Microsoft's new update cycle, it looks like we'll need to do this at least yearly.
