Safeboot 5.1.4 to EEPC 6.1.3

Jump to solution

I think this is possible, but I would like to get some opinions from anyone who has attempted this..

I have a large amount of machines that have stopped communicating to our Safeboot server and are still on 5.1.4.  I have successfully jumped machines from 5.2.5  to EEPC 6.1.3 through a client task in EPO, but I haven't tried a 5.1.4 machine.

Anyone have experience with this?

5.1.7 is the lowest supported version

this means we have not tested anything prior, but I don't forsee a problem unless the code specifically looks for these old versions - you won't be able to get support for the process though (prof services may be able to help?)

Just a reminder, EEPC5.1 is already EOL some time ago, 5.2 and the v6 series go end of life on March 31 2014 after which you will not be able to get support for them, so if you are working on an upgrade I reccomend you move quickly to V7.
