Recovery encrypted data in a secondary partition

Jump to solution

Hi, I have one computer with this situation: One computer with EEPC in 2 partitions.

One guy of tecnical support formatted first partition and overwrited the MBR and reinstall the windows over there.

Now I have one partition without EEPC only with windows and another unacessible partition with encrypted data.

Could I restore this volume, I tried with EEtech without sucess?

Yes you can decrypt it with eetech, you need the correct (verified in the workspace) key from epo and then simply decrypt the appropriate sector range.

I think he will have to use the full manual decryption option? You have to write down the exact sectors you wish to decrypt. We've had to do this before, and it seems to take much longer then the automatic method. We had systems that were encrypted with both GE and EEPC. Needless to say Windows did not load. We were able to successfully decrypt them with the EETECH manual option.
