I have problem with my Lenovo T61.
The Laptop already installed EEPC and running well for a while. But last Monday, it cannot boot with this error :
McAfee Endpoint Encryption
Fatal Error: [0xEE00000B] EPEi_system_policy
We’d create the rescue disk, and accessing the harddisk. It can open file at this harddisk but cannot repair.
I’d already try ‘repair MBR’ but still show the same error.
We cannot Decrypt the harddisk using recovery cd because the encryption is inactive when using the cd
And is there a option to recover EE MBR for example when it was "fixed" by fixmbr command?
Not explicitly, but standalone EETech will probably attempt to fix it in Emergency Boot operation.
Assuming that you have USB enabled in your laptop BIOS.
Once you have started Standalone EETech, look for those buttons:
Actions -> "Enable USB"
After clicking on "Enable USB" button, within few seconds it should say: "USB Enabled", then click on "OK" and then "File" button, to browse available disks (including USB flash memory key), to see your xml file.
How did you start EETech? Was it from a CD, or some other bootable media?
Make sure you put the file on the same media you're starting EETech from, that's usually the simplest approach.
I've boot using USB thumb drive, I also put the .xml file here.
I can boot to EETech, and I can click at " enable USB" but the system cannot read the USB (but I can boo-up using it)
I'try at the other machine (DELL VOSTRO), and I can read the usb content file. (make sure that I don't miss any step)
I already open ticket for this. but they cannot help.
Anyone can help ?
