OptIn user (x\x)has missing UBP/Ident

Jump to solution

Anyone any ideas what this refers to ?

Found this in the Mfeepe.log, the machine wont encrypt

The other things around this item are :

userHandler: OptIn user (domain\user) has missing UBP/Ident.

userHandler: failing policy enforcement: assigned OptIn user(s) are missing UBPs/Idents for activation.

epoAudit: dispatching audits to AgentHandler

Successfully invoked procedure ...

Finished job execution

Received job finish notification

Setting enforcement state to FALSE

I have been through the KB that gives a big list of things to check(windows FW, agent version, NAT etc.)

Cheers

It means you enabled user based policies for a user, but have not assigned a user based policy to them.

Thanks, that sorted it.

The only thing I dont understand is how the users got to set to use UBP's in the first place?

someone set it that way - it's not how it's set out of the box.

My apologies if this is a dumb question, but what exactly are OptIn users?  I can't find any reference in any EEPC 6.x documentation that says "OptIn"

Hello,

An OptIn user is a user that has a User Based Policy setting configured, please check KB73058 for a more comprehensive explanation.
