I'm interested in SED because software-based full disk encryption solution is slow, unreliable, and costs us precious limited support time. I notice new versions of EEPC (6.2 and 7) support opal. Question if i use eepc to manage opal sed:
1. Is pbfs still created and required, especially to store user credential? Or is it now stored in separate storage (ie. harddrive's flash)?
2. Will there still chance of pbfs corruption to occur with opal+eepc? How about unmanaged opal sed (minus) eepc?
3. I read PC that support SED provide preboot auth similar to bios password. If so, why still need mcafee pba?
4. Again, any chance of corruption? After hibernate etc.
