McAfee EEPC System State issue

When I right click on the McAfee Agent and goto "Quick Settings" -> "Show Endpoint Encryption Status" we have some laptops that are show system state as:

"waiting for information"

The laptops are registering as encrypted on the console, though, so it looks like its just an issue ont he laptops. It occurs on various models of laptops. Anyone else seen this before?

Re: McAfee EEPC System State issue

I see the same on my Windows 7 virtual machine test PC but curiously not on a WinXP virtual machine.

Re: McAfee EEPC System State issue

1. What version of EEPC?

2. Is there a process named MfeEpeHost running?

Re: McAfee EEPC System State issue

Didn't you guys note the original post date? I only replied because I had similar results with a Win7 VM.

I'm not too bothered since it's only a test VM and this issue hasn't cropped up on physical laptops (yet anyway!)

Re: McAfee EEPC System State issue

Sorry missed that..  But if you can check that the McAfee Endpoint Encryption service is running and provide a MfeEpe.log, we'll see if we can help you out..

Re: McAfee EEPC System State issue

As I said, I'm not bothered.  I have other things to spend my time on that take a higher priority than fixing something that is not detrimental to anything other than a VM test.  If it crops up on a physical machine then I will revisit it.  Thanks anyway.
