How can we use EEGO/DEGo to detect different types of encryption like Encrypting File System (EFS), Checkpoint , BitLocker and if any other too. Thank you !
Just deploy the software to your endpoints, the policy is very basic and you just check what checks you want to run, I find it sometimes needs a reboot to run all its tests successfully, however its usually deployed system deployment so this isn't a problem
You can also change your encryption policy to only encrypt devices if the EEGO checks have passed.
Thank you so much reply. However when I deployed EEGO on endpoint it did not detect Checkpoint and EFS. There is a list of incompatible products for DEGO incompatible product McAfee KnowledgeBase - Overview of Drive Encryption Go and Endpoint Encryption GO . Both are not mentioned in the list. Is is the reason, DEGO not detecting checkpoint and EFS.
If you go under Server Settings - Drive encryption you will be able to see what EEGO detects for products that are not compatible . Below is what is detects and it does not show checkpoint or EFS.
You can edit this file, never did that but it's xml file and you can edit it with the detected product name and upload.
worth trying if you have any product which is not listed here.
As far as I know not really with DEGO or EEGO, just the above method you can check.
But if you have deployment tool like LANDesk or SCCM then you can create query to identify the product installed and then take necessary action.
