I have a new laptop model that we are using within our business. This new model is the HP Elitebook 840 G2 with 32GB Cache Module controlled by the Intel RST software. This new model works great and boots up quick, perfect..
After installing EEPC 7.01 the software, it completes the encryption of the disk and will work fine until it is restarted. Then on POST you get the McAfee Fatal Error (0xEE020006) Getting Disk Info .
Can anyone explain what is going on here? Is it just not compatible with the new Intel Hardware or what?
It states in there for 7.1
Does DE 7.1 support Intel Smart Response Technology (SRT)?
Yes. Data is always safe, even the cached data. The Intel SRT is a smart cache component that only caches frequently accessed data. This is at the sector level and is encrypted by the DE filter driver.
It also states here that 7.x is also supported
It doesn't support Intel IRS though... Rapid Start.. Im not even sure that is in this model.. I have seen no reference as yet to it in the Intel SRT software.
