Failed Laptop

Hi All,

Hope someone can shed some light on this for me please. I have a Dell laptop that has completly died. I suspect the Mainboard has had it. The drive was Encrypted with McAfee Endpoint Encryption 6.2.

How can I go about recovering the data from this drive please? I have tried putting it in a USB caddy and pluging it into my machine but Windows doesnt recognise the drive stating it needs formatting etc.

If someone could help me that would be fantastic!

Kind Regards

Jon

Re: Failed Laptop

you could

1. plug it into another machine and just boot up/authenticate etc

2. Get your IT team to decrypt it with a bootable EETech CD/USB stick

3. Get your IT team to copy the data off it with EETech
