EPO 5.0 WEB API and EEPC

Hi there,

is the EEPC WEB API supported by ePO 5.0.1 (EEPC version is 7.0.2)?

I don't found the web method once instanced the mcafee object.

Thank you.

Re: EPO 5.0 WEB API and EEPC

Hi,

I found this guide but with ePO 5.0.1 when I try to call for example 'mc.eeadmin.assignUser' there is not method 'eeadmin', even if EEPC 7.0.2 is installed. It seems that ePO 5.0.1 doesn't support EEPC web API (the call with ePO 4.6.6 works).

Thank you.

Re: EPO 5.0 WEB API and EEPC

Hi,

I need to migrate about 1000 endpoints with Safeboot 5.2.11 to EEPC 7.0.2 managed by ePO 5.0.1. Nowaday, the customer deliveries each endpoint to the end user with a custom image which contains Windows and all mcafee softwares; the activation of Safeboot  is made by a script which add the user owner of the notebook to the DB (Sbadmcl.exe).

I will ask to the McAfee support.

Thank you.

I don't think you'd need such a script with EEPC7 - EPO will deliver it automatically, and the option "add domain users" will configure your user. Just use the built in features and you will be fine.

Re: EPO 5.0 WEB API and EEPC

Hi,

thank you.

I can't use only this option because the encryption must start only with the owner of notebook and not with a regular technician.

Maybe a mix of "Policy assignment rule" and a tag could manage my issue.

Rgds,
