I get an error "EE17002:some arguments missing" when I register my fingerprint for biometric access using EEPC v7. There is no work around found for this error. Any suggestions guys to solve this issue.
Ok, thanks for that info.
What version of the Upek software do you have installed on your laptop?
At what stage does the error appear? After enrolling a fingerprint? When you click "Register" on the first window?
UPEK(Lenovo Security Solution FP - V188.8.131.5246) .
At final stage, after I enroll the fingerprint it shows "Succeeded" but immediately throws an error "Some arguements missing"
Thank you for the information. I have one last thing I'd like to check. Would you be able to provide the VID & PID of the fingerprint sensor. You can find this in "Control Panel -> Device Manager". Just find the device in the list, right click it, click "Properties" and under the "Details" tab you should be able to find the Hardware IDs which will have the VID & PID info.
Note, there is a more recent version of the fingerprint software (184.108.40.20682) available through the Lenovo site that you could try.
Beyond this, since the L412 is not an officially supported model (see https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB76590#EEPC_7.0_Supported_Biom_Readers) you would need to open a PER in order to get further support on this issue.
