EEPC 7.0.2 Unlock PBA and AMT 9.x

This does not seem to be working and I was not sure if it was supposed to be. I see the AMT activity in the top right corner but it never bypasses the PBA. Emergency boot does not work either. However, KVM works fine. 

Using Host Based config and everything works fine for AMT 7.x and AMT 8.x.

Hi,

You will need to fully provision the PC in enterprise mode for trusted communication, for it work with EEPC/MDE

The device(s) are fully provisioned in enterprise mode.  This is working perfectly fine on devices that have AMT 7.x or 8.x.

The issue is with devices that have a 9.x version of AMT (in particular version 9.0.2) running MEI 9.0.0.1287.  At the EEPC PBA screen the AMT icon flashes in the top right but continues to flash and never bypasses PBA. Even after manual login through PBA, the AMT icon is still flashing as if it is not making connection or receiveing a response.

I can use KVM as well as boot/reboot AMT actions just fine on these, its just anything EEPC related fails (emergency boot, unlock PBA)

Could you please provide the following details:

  • Manufacturer
  • Model
  • BIOS version
  • ME version

Connecting via CILA or CIRA.  If possible could you attach or send me the amtservice.log.

Hi,

Sorry just one more bit of information, could you provide the following as shown on the picture below ?

I believe there was a change in AMT 9 looks like it is currently affecting EEPC (EEDeep).  This will require a change to the EEPC client to support this and I will raise this in a meeting this week and get a KB raised.
