EEPC 6.1 / ePO 4.6 ( Solid State Drives )

Jump to solution

Is there a list of "approved" or tested SSD's from McAfee, our compnay is looking at replacing our current drives with SSD's in our Laptops.

Can anyone Shed some light on any tests that have been done or any out there using SSD's with no issues on their EEPC setup...

Thanks

Brad

there's not expected to be issues with any drives - they are electrically compatible with physical disks. You can run the standard manufactuer optimization software after encryption if you like to clear the drive garbage collection, but it should handle that on its own.

I'd recommend buying drives that support TRIM. This is pretty standard now, but just make sure. Running TRIM on a scheduled basis will help keep drive performance high.
